Dan-Raul Pintea is an artist with a diverse background in the printing industry, who has created a space outside of traditional boundaries called "Dragoste Space," where he explores the patterns of his universe by transposing them into different projects that decipher words, numbers, rainbows, signs, objects that have fallen, been sold, or found, all of which have an abstract significance in his d
estiny. To make this happen, he began his journey in art by studying Graphic Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Art and Design Cluj Napoca, where he learned printing techniques that provided a strong foundation for the mechanisms of his art creation. This is best reflected in the printing or transposition of his ideas and images onto various materials, such as printing the Dragoste logo on paper, mesh, t-shirts, sweaters, and hoodies, which he sells to make a living from his art. But to get where he wanted to be, he began by selling his personal belongings, including art books, from which he was advised to learn about art, which turned out not to be the case. However, he gave them a hermeneutic meaning that he uses to convey his messages, as universally applicable as possible. As an emerging artist with limited financial resources, he slowly made his way by selling scrap metal, recycling materials that later proved to be the necessary support to progress in art and in life. This is how he discovered how to make handmade paper, which he uses as an unlimited resource in his graphic design and projects, such as packaging t-shirts for Glovo deliveries. Now he is in the process of implementing functionality and sustainability in art, which is a black hole (in terms of money), as we live in difficult times caused by inflation, climate change, and war. But at the same time, it is a time to promote even more "Dragoste."
