SMT is proud to present A New Circle for Sound
Reactive and Decorrelated Acoustics, integrated (RDAi)—is built on two interacting principles:
1) Reactive low-frequency control:
Superseding the traditional absorption-based approach to modal energy
2) Temporal Decorrelation of early reflections using the Wing family
Instead of conventional geometric scattering approaches, including QRD-based diffusors, or outright elimination
The goal is not to reduce acoustic energy, but to redistribute it in time, phase, and coherence.
Sound has long been trapped in a broken circle —
changing character as it moves from recording
to mixing to playback.
This work closes that loop .A continuous field of neutral, high-resolution spaciousness, where energy is preserved, phase is shaped rather than suppressed and EDT is allowed to meet — or exceed — T30.
Small rooms stop behaving like small rooms.
Translation becomes natural.
Space remains space
A clustered modal field becomes "fragile"in the sense that small reactive changes produce large shifts in modal behavior .This allows a cluster of tuned Helmholtz boxes as a passive EQ and create more coherent modal distribution across the room
