So if you’re out late during the Hungry Ghost Festival, maybe think twice before reaching for your camera.

In Hungry Hungry Ghosts, steamed cakes are one of the many offerings you can use to appease hungry ghosts and earn points.

Heading to a Getai this Hungry Ghost Festival? You might notice that the front row is often left completely empty. That’s because, according to tradition, those seats are reserved for the “special guests” — the wandering spirits and ancestors who have come to enjoy the show.

So whatever you do… don’t sit in the front row! You never know who might be sitting next to you.

The Hungry Ghost Festival is here! The neighbourhood is filled with the smoke of burning offerings, sent to our ancestors to ensure they enjoy a comfortable life in the afterlife.

One of the more ostentatious offerings you might see is an elaborate paper mansion. But we’ve seen everything from luxury cars to smartphones and even entire household sets! What are some of the most unusual offerings you’ve spotted?

Our upcoming game - Hungry Hungry Ghosts!

The Hungry Ghost Festival has begun, and the Gates of Hell are open! As a hungry ghost, roam the mortal world to claim the finest offerings left by the living.

Explore different areas, reveal new offerings, and decide whether to claim them or wait for better ones.

Avoid cursed Taboo such as putting chopsticks in Rice... or collect enough to turn bad luck into bonus points!

Other ghosts in the same area will demand a share of your offerings. Will you feed them scraps or sabotage them with Taboo cards?

Collect the most & best combination of offerings before the gates of Hell closes!
