I chose this name because valkyries were a bunch of real badass bi***es — mythological women who decided who lived, who died, and who got a seat at the table. That’s the energy I want you to have with your money. Not polished. Not ‘suitable.’ FERAL.

Society trained you to be a good girl about money: quiet, agreeable, grateful for whatever advice got handed to you, never asking follow-up questions. Cute. We’re done with that.

As a bit of a swear-y sailor, these are my people.

I’m at a conference this week for financial advisors who didn’t fit the sales-heavy, big company, suit-and-tie world. It’s the only advisor conference I’ve gone to in my fifteen (15!!) years of working in this industry where there might be a line to use the ladies restroom. The thinking is just different here, in the best way possible.
