Last week, Focus People had the opportunity to bring Atlanta’s HR community together alongside the NAAAHR Atlanta Chapter for an evening that truly delivered. The room was filled with leaders across industries, all engaged in real conversations about where HR is heading and how teams are evolving.

From discussions around AI and digital transformation to leadership presence and the growing intersection of people strategy and project ex*****on, the panel set the tone for thoughtful dialogue.

What stood out most was the level of engagement, not just during the discussion, but throughout the entire evening. The energy carried into networking, where new connections were made and conversations continued well beyond the panel.

With over 100 professionals in attendance and strong feedback already coming in, it’s clear there’s momentum here and interest in continuing the conversation.

Her leadership reflects both continuity and growth, guiding Focus People into its next chapter while staying rooted in the people-first culture that defines who we are.

This transition represents a natural evolution for our leadership team and reinforces our commitment to operational excellence and long-standing partnerships. We recently had the privilege of presenting the Focus People Spotlight Award to Jerry Dyer and Brenda McMahan in recognition of the incredible impact they make each day.

Since joining the Focus People community in 2023, both were nominated by their coworkers for their kindness, reliability, and the care they show while serving community members at a local recycling center.

Their willingness to go above and beyond, help others, and bring a positive spirit to the workplace truly reflects the values we strive to support.

Sheila has been part of the Focus People community since 2011. Over the years, she has become a trusted presence, helping support a major digitization initiative within a state transportation department.

Her ability to adapt during operational changes, paired with her professionalism and patience, has made her a key contributor to the team’s success.
