🌱 WorldWideWed – Ried bei Kerzers, Switzerland

From CBD extracts to licensed recreational and medical cannabis production, SwissExtract AG has spent nearly a decade building its cultivation expertise and helping shape cannabis policy in Switzerland.

After years of serving the CBD market, in 2023 SwissExtract AG was named one of a select group of licensed producers to take part Switzerland’s pilot program for recreational cannabis —initiatives designed to help policymakers evaluate different approaches to regulation, harm reduction and legal access. The license to produce medical flowers followed the next season.

Today, their work spans high quality flower, resin, and extracts, with an eye toward becoming fully vertically integrated as the legal Swiss market continues to evolve. At the center of it all is a commitment to fully organic cultivation in living soil, free of chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers.

Fluence is proud to support SwissExtract AG in their mixed light VYPR greenhouse as they continue to shape what the future of cannabis cultivation will look like in Switzerland.

Your plants don't know it's 5pm.

Being responsible for a cultivation facility means long days, longer weeks, and a crop that doesn’t particularly care what’s on your calendar.

In this clip from our new Cultivating Quality Cannabis webinar, the panel gets into the reality of being a Director of Cultivation—and the people, systems and support it takes to consistently produce a quality crop.

🌱 The full conversation from yesterday's webinar with Athena, Grodan, Rhythm Cultivation Solutions, and Traditional Cannabis is now on YouTube! 🌱

🌱 How many aroma possibilities does cannabis really have?

According to Ganjier Kevin Jodrey: a lot more than most of us think.

Cannabis is a remarkably complex biological system capable of producing an enormous diversity of aromatic compounds. For cultivators, that means the conversation goes well beyond chasing a few familiar terpene profiles.

The bigger opportunity is defining the experience you want the consumer to have—and working backward from there.

A great moment from our last webinar on quality with Kevin Jodrey and Benjamin Lind.

Not every lighting company is a lighting manufacturer. In fact, few are.

When you own your factories, you own control over manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply—from initial production through final inspection.

Fluence is one of the few true OEM manufacturers in cannabis lighting—designing, engineering and manufacturing RAPTR 2 within our own global operations.

🌱 RAPTR 2 isn't simply branded by Fluence. It's built by Fluence. 🌱

Consistently producing quality cannabis requires more than optimizing any single cultivation input. Genetics establish the potential, but realizing that potential depends on how lighting, nutrition, root-zone management, environmental control, crop steering and day-to-day cultivation practices work together throughout the crop cycle.

Join Casey Rivero and Taylor Kirk with Fluence for a collaborative discussion featuring cultivation experts from Athena (Jay Yokiel), Grodan (Chad Rigby), and Rhythm Cultivation Solutions & Services (Cale Winters), along with a special guest cultivator, Ruben Gonzalez, from Traditional in Los Angeles. The panel will combine technical expertise with real-world grower experience to explore the technologies, practices, and operational decisions that help commercial craft cultivators improve flower quality, achieve greater consistency, and build long-term business success.

What We’ll Discuss:

🌱 How today’s cannabis market defines premium quality
🌱 Translating quality goals into cultivation strategies
🌱 The role of crop steering and integrated environmental management
🌱 Improving consistency from harvest to harvest
🌱 Scaling premium quality across commercial operations
🌱 Common cultivation mistakes that limit quality outcomes
🌱 Real-world decisions that have improved flower quality, consistency and market performance

🌱 🌱 Great quality starts with seeing the full picture.

Our Austin-based quality team spent time at the Fluence Cannabis Science Center last week, where they were able to see our products operating in a real cultivation environment and better understand how every detail in the grow can affect short term and long term performance.

Quality assurance protects more than the product. It helps protect the grower’s crop, operation and investment. Because quality is not just measured on paper. It is proven in the grow.

Today's Agtech is impressive, but it also raises important questions about labor, food stability, and where agricultural innovation is headed next.

Fresh from Day 1 of the American Society of Horticultural Sciences conference, Fluence's Dr. Dave Hawley shares a quick recap of the day's sessions and ideas that caught his attention—including the keynote session on physical AI and the role robotics and automation could play in the future of agriculture.

From laser-powered w**d control to robotic fruit harvesting, listen to Dave’s unfiltered recap from the end of a full day of learning.
