🏆 Congratulations to VFW Post 8787 on achieving **All-State Status** for the 2025-2026 fiscal year!

This prestigious recognition was presented at the Texas VFW State Convention this weekend and reflects the outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment of our Post to serving veterans, their families, and our community.

The **All-State Award** is one of the highest honors a VFW Post can earn at the state level. It recognizes Posts that excel in membership growth, community service, youth and veteran programs, reporting, and overall performance throughout the year. Earning All-State status demonstrates a strong, active Post that is making a positive impact both within the VFW and in the community it serves.

A special congratulations goes to Commander Rabel, Quartermaster Hoffman, and the entire leadership team whose hard work, vision, and dedication helped make this achievement possible. We also extend our sincere appreciation to every member of Post 8787. This honor belongs to all of you, as it is the collective effort of our members, volunteers, and supporters that continues to make our Post successful.

Thank you for your commitment to the mission of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and for all you do to support veterans, military families, and our community.

Congratulations, VFW Post 8787, on an outstanding year and this well-deserved All-State recognition! 🇺🇸

Today, we honor VE Day (Victory in Europe Day), marking May 8, 1945, when the Allies officially accepted N**i Germany's surrender, bringing an end to nearly six years of war in Europe. This day is a profound reminder of the bravery and sacrifices made by our veterans, who fought for freedom, safety, and peace.

VE Day not only celebrated the end of conflict for millions but also heralded the liberation of countless prisoners and survivors of concentration camps. It was a moment of communal relief, where barriers broke down as strangers embraced in the streets, and the lights of once-dark cities shone brightly again.

As we reflect on this day, let’s remember that while the battle in Europe ended, the fight against tyranny was far from over, reminding us of the ongoing importance of vigilance and unity.
