The History & Future of US Recycling: From ‘Throw Away’ to ‘Zero Waste’
Zero Waste Education Webinar by GreenEducation.US
Speakers: Neil Seldman, Dan Knapp, Mary Lou Van Deventer
October 29, 11 am to 12:30 pm Pacific
Register here: https://lnkd.in/gHHX_K_c

This is a Don’t-Miss Zero Waste Education EVENT! Your panelists will focus on the history of the three movements — recycling, anti incineration, Zero Waste — which emerged in the 1960s, 1980s and 1990s, respectively. These movements inform today’s grassroots effort to stop incineration of waste and implement Zero Waste and realize the economic and financial, social, and environmental blessings of Zero Waste.

First, you’ll learn about the financial incentives that support incineration and inefficient single stream recycling. Then, we will define the policies, programs, and enterprises that can reverse investment patterns by diverting capital from wasting to recycling, composting and reuse — including sources of capital, guidelines for investment and organizing principles that can win the day for Zero Waste.

You'll definitely want to attend this gathering of great minds. Register for this webinar here: https://lnkd.in/gHHX_K_c
