At MOI, employee ownership is personal.

For Sandy Herndon, Senior Designer in our Richmond office, being an employee owner means having a real stake in what we’re building together—and knowing that the work we do, the relationships we create, and the way we support one another all contribute to our shared success.

We love hearing what ownership means through the voices of our people, because there’s no better way to tell the story of an ESOP than through the owners themselves.

What does the modern law firm look like? For Gallagher LLP, it looks bright, welcoming, connected—and completely different from where they started.

As a long-time MOI client, Gallagher trusted our team to help bring a bold new vision for their Baltimore workplace to life alongside Gensler. The 21,000-square-foot space represents a true transformation from the traditional law firm environment, with beautiful private offices and conference rooms balanced by wellness spaces, open areas for connection, and a hospitality-inspired café designed to bring people together.

And the details make it even more meaningful. The café features custom murals by two local Baltimore artists, including imagery honoring the historic Reed Street sit-in—a reflection of Gallagher's deep connection to Baltimore and longstanding involvement in civil rights.

We're proud to have helped create a workplace that feels distinctly Gallagher: sophisticated and professional, but also warm, vibrant, and rooted in the community they call home.

Big news — and an incredibly well-deserved honor!

We’re thrilled to celebrate Farlee Wade-Faber, MillerKnoll Designer of the Year!

If you know Farlee, you know this recognition represents so much more than exceptional design talent. Farlee brings care, compassion, positive energy, mentorship, and an unwavering can-do attitude to everything she does.

She’s an incredible Herman Miller Champion and an even bigger champion of the people around her — always willing to share her knowledge, offer guidance, find a solution, and help others succeed. She has a remarkable ability to listen closely to our clients, understand what they truly need, and translate that understanding into thoughtful solutions that create real value.

And within MOI, Farlee makes her impact by creating something just as important: a community of belonging where people feel supported, valued, and connected.

Farlee, we couldn’t be more proud to have you on our team. Congratulations on this incredible and very well-deserved recognition!

Recently, 11 members of our Richmond team completed Adult CPR/AED training and are now officially certified through the American Red Cross.

That means more trained individuals ready to respond in an emergency—not only within our own workplace, but wherever our work takes us, including client sites and projects throughout the community.

It’s one more way we’re investing in our people while helping create safer spaces for everyone around us.

A big thank you to our Richmond employee-owners who stepped up, learned something new, and are now prepared to step in when it counts.

Summer goes fast when you’re having fun.

Last week, we said farewell to our fantastic summer interns—and while we’re sad to see them go, we’re so grateful for the time they spent with us.

One of our favorite parts of welcoming interns to MOI is getting to share the ins and outs of what we do—from life in our showrooms to the people, partnerships, and details that bring great spaces to life. And, just as importantly, we get to learn from them, too.

To our summer interns: thank you for your curiosity, hard work, positive energy, and the incredibly sweet dispositions you brought with you each day. We loved having you as part of the MOI team and can’t wait to see what’s next for each of you.

Don’t be strangers!

We’ve been sharing the story behind the partnership. Now, see it come to life on the national stage.

The episode explores how a historic downtown building was transformed into a place designed for creativity, connection, and community, including a look inside Work Program Architects’ studio and the partnership that helped bring their vision to life.

Tune in Saturday, August 22 at 9 PM EST on CBS News.

Here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come.

"Collaborating with MOI really helped us to have confidence that we were delivering the right solutions... They really know what we want."

The best workplace projects aren't built by individual companies—they're built by teams that know how to work together.

Assembly is a perfect example.

Our partnership with Work Program Architects has been built over years of collaboration. That trust meant fewer questions, faster decisions, and confidence that every furniture solution supported the vision from day one.

When your furniture partner already understands your design philosophy, great projects become even better.

The best partnerships go beyond product knowledge.

They begin with understanding the people behind the design.

Every design team has its own philosophy, creative process, and vision for how spaces should feel and function. When you've worked together over time, you develop something that's difficult to replicate—an understanding of how they think, not just what they're specifying.

That kind of partnership changes the conversation.

Recently, MOI had the opportunity to sponsor a tour of 160 Newtown Road with Nicole Campbell and Rob Wright of Thalhimer. The project involved renovation on different floors for two valued clients—The Miller Group and BALICORE.

The Tour also brought together all the partners who helped shape this remarkable project to experience the finished space firsthand. The building serves as the Headquarters for both Miller Group and BALICORE as well as other tenants on remining floors.

The building still has roughly 18k sq feet of customizable build out space available. The attendees were able to view the unfinished shell space and then walk through finished spaces. This gives the potential clients a vision to the possibilities of what their branded space could become.

Special shoutout to Glenn Bashaw for the awesome video.

When JOOLA set out to create its new headquarters and signature storefront, the vision extended far beyond desks and conference rooms. Together with sshape, we helped create spaces that reflect the company's energy, global identity, and commitment to community—all while planning for the future.

From flexible R&D spaces and collaborative environments to hospitality-inspired meeting areas and an experiential storefront where the pickleball community can gather, every detail was designed to support how JOOLA works today and where it's headed tomorrow.

It's one of those projects that reminds us the best workplaces don't just support a brand—they become part of it.
