Free RRP-Lead Renovator Training class
Registration is now open for our next
Friday, August 28th, 2026 from 8A-5P
Seating is limited to 12 participants.
If you work on pre 1978 homes and/or child-occupied facilities where lead-based paint is disturbed (including certain repairs, maintenance and paining activities), you must be trained in lead-safe work practices. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) requires that if you disturb more than 6 square feet of interior surface or 20 square feet of exterior surface, you must be certified in Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP Rule)
The Livingston County Lead Renovator Training is 8 contact hours with classroom learning, hands-on activities, and an exam. The certification provides an individual worker with the ability to perform renovation, repair, and painting (RRP) work in buildings built before 1978. This is the INITIAL training required to earn an EPA Accredited Lead Certificate. This training is for anyone performing RRP work in a home or child-occupied facility built before 1978.
Participants who attend the course will be given a lead cleaning kit and entered to win a $100 gift card to Sherwin Williams.
