One of my favorite parts of owning a sign company is getting to be a small part of someone else’s memories.
A client recently called me looking for a sign for a summer camp that he and his wife host every year for their grandchildren. Instead of simply building the sign and delivering a finished product, I suggested something a little different…
What if the sign became part of the camp experience?
We designed the sign, cut all of the pieces, created the templates, and prepared everything so the grandchildren could build and paint it themselves as one of their camp activities. Now, instead of just having a sign that says “Camp Cherry Tree,” they’ll have a sign they helped create with their own hands.
Years from now, when they see that sign hanging on the wall, it won’t just be a decoration. It will be a reminder of summer days spent with their grandparents, working together, laughing, and making memories.
Sometimes a sign is more than a sign. Sometimes it’s part of a family tradition.
