I had the privilege to conduct the NHWA's Home Watch Boot Camp training with 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 (𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝘂𝘀 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝘂𝗶𝘀 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼 (𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱’𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿-𝗶𝗻-𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿) servicing Fort Myers and Estero, Florida. Jared has been on the sales and development side of business for many years and has transitioned into running his own business. A client's thermostat was registering 𝟳𝟰% humidity!!! We knew that couldn't be correct because our hygrometer was registering the humidity at 𝟰𝟳%. That's a 𝗕𝗜𝗚 difference! It turns out the hole in the wall behind the thermostat was too big, and it was drawing in humidity from inside the wall, and skewing the humidity reading being displayed on the thermostat. This is more common than many may think, but it's an easy fix. 🤓

Comprehensive shutter maintenance and cleaning should be completed on an annual basis. This type of cleaning regimen keeps your shutters in working order, ensuring that your shutters remain in optimum condition. Another added benefit, when you regularly clean and maintain your shutters, you significantly increase longevity of your shutters. Shutter maintenance also validates your shutter warranty! Remember that any moving parts of your shutters are susceptible weather, dirt, debris, as well as dead snails, frogs, and lizards that harden like small rocks and can cause damage to your shutters causing them to malfunction. 🤓

This is EXTREMELY important. I cannot begin to tell you how many times I put up manual panel shutters for clients and there were missing panels, missing hardware, the panels did not fit the wall studs, the wall anchors were loose, and the list goes on. Manual panel hurricane shutters are very time and labor intensive in putting them up prior to a storm. That is why you absolutely MUST make sure your manual panel shutters and hardware are all in place before you leave Florida for the summer months. Have your shutter guy do a trial run/mock install to ensure you are ready for the summer hurricane season ahead. They can also number all manual panel shutters so you know which panels go to which window. 😉

We had several members of our 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿 meet at the Marsh Landing Clubhouse in Estero this past weekend for a potluck lunch, networking, and an informative meeting. We also had 𝗠𝗼𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇 (𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿) 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗛𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲 educate our group on pest control services for our home watch clients.
