I have been an ILEA Boston - International Live Events Association member for two years and barely spoke to anyone. I am an introvert in an extrovert's job. Last week I flew to Chicago and finally met them. Karaoke three nights in a row.

darling, Johnny Cupcakes | official kicked off day 2 of ILEA Chicago with an inspiring and fun talk on brand loyalty, creativity, and collaboration. Turns out we both share a love for Brassica Kitchen + Cafe! Came away with some dope stickers, a surprise shirt, and a lot of energy to reignite my often repressed creativity. Great start to the day!

✅️ Back to work and ready for busy season!

I've spent my career planning events for everyone else, and this time, I got to plan a very private micro-wedding with the love of my life.

To actually enjoy it, I'll be stepping back from work until August 4. Replies will be slow while we celebrate, and I'll be back at it on August 4.

I am SO excited to finally share what I've been cooking up with !

This September, KFL Strategies is heading to the with MACDC to produce POWERED BY COMMUNITY, MACDC's 2026 Community Development Summit.

Looking forward to a full day of incredible speakers, hands-on workshops, international networking, awards, a vendor fair, and more, all under one roof with community development leaders (some of my favorite people!) from every corner of Massachusetts.

So, mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 30. Early bird tickets drop July 1, and sponsorship opportunities are coming soon.

Three days of packed tents, busy car parks, happy kids, families everywhere, LOTS of Tennent's L***r, and the most beautiful Scotland-meets-Jamaica Plain magic you could dream up. This community showed UP, and my heart is so full. 💛⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

To The Haven team: Congratulations and thank you, thank you, thank you. The Haven is so much more than the largest Scottish pub in New England; it is truly a HOME, and this whole weekend, Team Haven's heart poured out for your community. It was beautiful, and I am so proud of all of you. Brilliant vision!

And Scotland… oh my goodness. To the Tartan Army, the Scottish fans who flew in and everyone who brought that famous Scottish warmth, wit, and passion to JP: you made this unforgettable. There is nothing like Scottish spirit, and watching it light up our little corner of Boston was everything.

This took a whole ARMY of incredible humans, so get ready for a LOT of shoutouts in no particular order...

The wonderful partners at JPNDC: Ricky, Alyssa, Jessica, Jailynn, Dana, Danny, and the invaluable Teronda. Thank you for making this a true community celebration. 💛

The KFL crew, aka the hardest-working, biggest-hearted team on the planet: Todd (and Kellen & Levi!), Mia, Michael & Michaela, Tahara, Megan, Arianna, Michelle, Sam, Luc, Alex, Mike, and Yvette. You ARE this company. 🙌

The B.E.S.T. security team, for keeping everybody safe, laughing, and smiling all weekend long. We couldn't have done this without y'all.

The City of Boston for working with us tirelessly on this celebration: Mayor Michelle Wu, Councilor Weber and his team, Today Baker and the entire Mayor's Office of Special Events, Inspectional Services (Brian, Awilda, Glorianna, and everyone on that team). A huge thank you to BPD District E-13, Captain Warren Hoppie and every single officer who kept us safe, plus Boston Fire and all of the inspectors who stopped in. 🚓🚒💙

And State Rep. Samantha Montano (who slung beers for a hot minute!), JP Centre South Main Streets, Mary's Meals, Coca-Cola, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal, Boston Water & Sewer, Burke, and our neighbors Ula Cafe, Bikes Not Bombs, JP Clay, Mike's Fitness, and all the other patient and flexible Brewery businesses. I am so proud of last night.
I love what I do.
I am good at what I do.
Nothing I have done or will ever do will be suboptimal.
And nothing and no one will ever stop me from making a wild idea into a beautiful reality for my beloved community.

I love you, Jamaica Plain. Thank you for always believing in me and supporting me and showing up and showing out for the work that I do. Thank you for holding space for me in a community of joy and love and great respect.

JP raised me to understand the importance of community. JP has taught me what community truly is. It's deeply connecting during moments like last night but it is also the love, caring, understanding, and respect we all have for our neighbors and visitors.

Jamaica Plain is family.
And when you visit Jamaica Plain, you are family too.

So many shout outs and thank yous to follow after this weekend.

Come by tonight for one more night of World Cup love in our beautiful corner of the world.
We are so lucky. 💗
