What a 'time' we had at the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce Decades Remix Golf Outing!

From beautiful weather and great company to supporting our community, it was a fantastic day on the course. Our team embraced the decade theme with:

🏆 A trivia game that helped us win the Flagship on the Fairways contest
🎹 Billy Joel playing on repeat
🔥 Fire extinguisher discharge lessons to help everyone "put out the fire"

Most teams scored around 70% on our trivia challenge, but FOUR teams earned a perfect 100%!

🏅 At WFP, we love supporting the hobbies and interests that make our team unique- it is a large part of why our culture is so rewarding.

This past weekend, two of our teammates competed in the AuSable Valley Triathlon as Team The Flamers, earning 2nd place in their category and 6th place overall with an impressive time of 1:16:44!

Congratulations on this outstanding achievement! We are incredibly proud of your dedication, teamwork, and accomplishment—both on and off the course! 🎉

What a wonderful weekend at the Bavarian Festival and Bavarian Parade! 🎉🇩🇪 Our team and their families loved celebrating with the community at one of Frankenmuth’s favorite traditions.

Here are a few fun facts about the roots of Winninger Fire Protection:

🔥 Founded in Frankenmuth in 1988
🔥 Originally named Wi'N'inger Fire Protection (original sign in the photos)
🔥 The name was later updated to Wi'NN'inger Fire Protection, inspired by the Winninger Weinstuben in Germany
🔥 More than 30 years later, we remain family-owned and operated

Last week we kicked off Alzheimer's Awareness month with a presentation on healthy brain habits.

Yesterday we kicked off the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Great Lakes Bay with some friends 🙌🏼🎉 We are very excited to be sponsoring and participating in such a great cause.

🌟 What a start to summer! 🌟

We've been on the go lately and finally had a moment to reflect on how grateful we are to be part of such an incredible Mid-Michigan community.

Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to:

🔥 Partnered with Future Insurance Agency, Inc. for a customer appreciation event, where we enjoyed an afternoon of connecting, playing "Pin the Tag on the Extinguisher," and teaching proper fire extinguisher techniques.

☕ Kicked off the Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce PERC Breakfast and learned about the exciting efforts to revitalize Hoyt Park through community collaboration. Way to go Friends of Hoyt Park!

✂️ Celebrated the ribbon cutting for Emergency Veterinary Care Centers new Saginaw location and connected with fellow professionals at Business After Hours hosted by Urban Racquet Sports Foundation - Friends of Garber Courts.

🏈 Supported Positive Results Downtown Saginaw - PRIDE in Saginaw during their tailgate event for Michigan Arsenal Arena Football, bringing the community together through sports.

We are incredibly thankful for the relationships, partnerships, and opportunities that make our community so special. Summer is just getting started, and we can't wait to see what the coming months have in store!

June is Alzheimer's Awareness month and our team kicked it off with a presentation by the Alzheimer's Association on building healthy brain habits 💪🏼

It's true, a recent study showed the ways that you can prevent Alzheimer's! If you are interested in learning about it, there's a free event on Thursday- details are in the last picture 🧠

May is mental health awareness month, with the intention of educating the public and raising awareness, reducing stigma and providing support for those who need it.
We are proud to be a Michigan Recovery Friendly Workplace - RFW and living those values not just in May, but everyday. 💪

Our very own program manger Nicki Gabel took the stage at the 2026 Substance Use Impact Conference for Employers and Providers to facilitated a rich discussion with three Michigan Recovery Friendly Organizations.

Laura Stoken of Rathbun Insurance, Alycia Norton of Winninger Fire Protection and Eric J. Horwood of the 8th District Court shared valuable insights on how the RFW Initiative has impacted their workplaces.
