Network security and physical security belong in the same conversation.
Graber Backhoe originally called 2Labs Tech for a firewall upgrade and better Wi-Fi in the shop. The camera system was not part of that request.
After the work was booked, an onsite conversation uncovered another need: the business wanted better camera visibility and simpler remote access. Because we were there, listening to how the business actually operated, we could address both needs as one coordinated project.
The finished system connected the office and shop, improved shop Wi-Fi, and brought six UniFi Protect cameras into one locally recorded system with individual remote access.
After cancelling its former camera-access and video-history serviceโwhich did not include alarm monitoring or emergency dispatchโthe client estimates the change is saving roughly $140 per month.
That is why onsite discovery matters. A narrow technology request can be connected to a broader operational problemโand the best answer is not always obvious from a phone call or checklist.
