From fairgrounds to community festivals, First Electric and Connect2First have been proud to show up, lend a helping hand, and have a little fun along the way!
The rural communities we serve are where First Electric began, and they’ll always be a part of our roots. We love getting out into the communities we call home, reconnecting with our roots and supporting the families, students and organizations that make them special.
Over the past month, our teams have been busy:
• Arkansas County Fair - We loved celebrating the patriotic spirit of the Arkansas County Fair! It was a great opportunity to connect with our members and share a few goodies that celebrated all things red, white and blue.
• Cleburne County Fair - We grilled 900 hot dogs for students attending Kids Day at the fair!
• North Pulaski Fall Festival- Our team brought the mini pole replica and enjoyed the opportunity to connect with our community.
• Perry County Fair Association - Our team had a great time connecting with members at the Big Wheels event, giving local students an up-close look at the equipment our crews use every day, including bucket trucks and a bird’s-eye view of the fairgrounds.
• Saline County Fair-Benton, AR - We grilled for 4-H Kids and sponsored 20 local kids who live on our lines as they showed their livestock animals.
• Spark Community Workers Day - Our FECC ROW crew in Heber Springs visited with students and gave them a close-up look at the Buck Truck and “Wall-E,” our skid steer!
• White County Fair & Fairgrounds - About 200 students enjoyed our electrical safety demonstration during Kids Day, and we grilled 800 hot dogs for students during FFA, FCCLA and 4-H Day.
We’re grateful for every opportunity to step outside our offices, meet the people we serve and support the communities we’re fortunate to call home.
That’s what being your cooperative is all about — showing up, giving back and being a part of the community, year after year.
