Building better infrastructure means thinking beyond the finished bridge.

Prefabricated bridge construction can help reduce material waste, shorten onsite activity, limit community disruption, and improve worker safety by moving more of the process into a controlled manufacturing environment.

90 years of U.S. Bridge. More than 125 years of Rogovin family history in America.

The story began in 1898, when Sam Rogovin arrived in the United States from Russia. He and his wife, Esther, eventually settled in Cambridge, Ohio, where Sam started a scrap yard.

Their sons, Herman and Ted Rogovin, helped shape what came next. Ted began working in the scrap yard in the 9th grade and developed a passion for the work. Herman pursued engineering, earning his degree from Case Western Reserve.

From those roots grew U.S. Bridge, founded in 1936 and now recognized worldwide for bridge engineering and manufacturing expertise, with more than 11,000 bridges built in Cambridge, Ohio and projects standing across the globe.

Last Friday, we celebrated our 90th anniversary with more than 170 employees, family members, friends, partners, customers, and public officials at our Cambridge headquarters. Guests toured the fabrication floor, shared a meal, heard remarks from community and state leaders, and helped mark a milestone we will never forget:

201 Wheeling Avenue is now officially 100 U.S. Bridge Way.

That street sign represents more than an address. It represents 90 years of employees who built with pride, customers who trusted us, partners who stood with us, and communities connected by U.S. Bridge.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and spoke on our behalf, including Congressman Rep. Troy Balderson, State Representative Adam Holmes, Cambridge Mayor Tom Orr, Guernsey County Commissioners Jack Marlin, Dave Wilson, and Bill Cowgill, representatives from the offices of U.S. Senator Jon Husted and Bernie Moreno, State Senator Al Landis, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, and Ryan Augsburger from the The Ohio Manufacturers' Association

And thank you to Dan Rogovin, Richard, and Art Rogovin, who helped open and close the day the same way this company began: as family.

The first 90 years were the foundation. The next chapter starts now.

We were honored to celebrate U.S. Bridge's 90th anniversary in Cambridge, OH last week!

Founded in 1936 by Herman and Ted Rogovin as The American Culvert Company, in 1947 The Ohio Bridge Corporation began engineering and manufacturing the first factory, all-welded steel component truss and beam bridges in the country.

“U.S. Bridge is an excellent entrepreneurial success story for Southeast Ohio,” said Ohio SE President and CEO Matt Abbott. “We celebrate the company’s continued growth in service and impact in Guernsey County!”

When a bridge is lost, a community can lose more than a crossing — it can lose access to work, schools, emergency services, supplies, and daily connection.

Our recent Utuado, Puerto Rico bridge project is a case study in moving from emergency access to long-term resilience. After severe flooding swept away a temporary bridge, U.S. Bridge delivered a Liberty Model modular steel bridge designed to resist water pressure up to the guardrail height.

This project reinforced an important lesson: resilient infrastructure starts with understanding the forces a bridge may face before the next storm arrives.
