“God’s timing is never late.”

We said it when they matched — and this morning, He proved it again.

Early this morning, the "A" family received a call that the incredible mama who chose them would be delivering today. And just like that, bags were packed, flights were booked, and they were on their way.

They are not traveling with all the answers. They are traveling because a courageous mama brought her baby boy into the world today, and the “A” family wants to be right there — to love her, support her, and honor every part of this moment she is walking through.

That is who they have been from the beginning. And that is who they are today.

Pray for this precious mama who delivered today — for strength, peace, and the deep assurance that she is loved.

Pray for the “A” family as they travel — that they arrive with peace and open hearts.

Pray for this baby boy — that every moment is held gently in His hands.

Why They Came Back 💛

They knew the road. They chose not to walk it alone.

What does a family do when they’ve already walked the adoption road once and God puts a second yes in front of them?

Kent and Haley came to FAC in December 2023 with a sweet biological daughter at home and hearts open to adoption. They went active in August 2024, were matched that same month, and welcomed their daughter Remy home in February 2025.

From the start, they wanted someone in their corner. The paperwork, home study and background checks felt overwhelming on their own, and they wanted a team that would guide them step by step, catch what they missed, and understand the adoptive family’s side. It meant so much to them to have a consultant who had walked through adoption herself.

Just six months after Remy came home, the phone rang again. Remy’s birth parents were expecting another baby, and they reached out to ask if this family would consider adopting Remy’s sibling. Haley had been quietly praying that if the Lord wanted to grow their family again, He would make it unmistakably clear. With courage and love, Remy’s birth parents chose them again.

This time, they knew the process. As Kent put it, they could have done it without FAC the second time, but they weren’t going anywhere close to that.

We were honored to walk the road with them again. Baby Rhett arrived in March, and today this family of five shares an open adoption full of love.

We are so grateful for Remy and Rhett’s birth parents, whose love shaped every part of this story.

The “S” Family is Traveling! 🚙

From the very first day the “S” family stepped into this journey with FAC, they were all in. Every document tackled, every requirement checked off, every step taken with intention — all while surrendering their yes and trusting that when the right connection came, they would be ready.

And she came. An expectant mama who invited them into her story, into her plan, into something deeply personal and sacred.

Today, they are traveling. Not with guarantees ahead — but with the same wholehearted commitment that has defined them from the start. They are traveling to support this incredible mama, to be whatever she needs, and to honor any trust she might choose to place in them.

The “D” family is MATCHED!

Less than TWO MONTHS after becoming active with FAC, this sweet couple has been chosen by a precious expectant mama who is expecting a baby girl in early 2027!

And we couldn’t be more excited for them.

From day one, the “D” family has been an absolute joy to walk alongside. Their love for the Lord, their family, and others is evident in the way they live, love, and approach this journey.

And now, they’ve been invited into a beautiful new season.
A season of getting to know an expectant mama, building a relationship rooted in trust and respect, and learning how to love and support her well as she continues navigating her adoption plan.

Because being matched isn’t just about being chosen. It’s about how you love the mama who chose you.

And that is exactly what we’re praying over this next chapter.

There is a prayer in Psalm 139 that most of us have prayed without fully meaning it.

Search me, God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me.

It is not a comfortable prayer. It asks Him to show us what we’d rather not see — the assumptions we’ve never examined, the fears we’ve never named, the places where we are not yet who we hope we are.

Adoption has a way of surfacing those places.

For many families, this journey becomes the first time they’ve honestly asked what they believe about people who don’t look like them. What they absorbed growing up. What they’ve never had reason to question.

That kind of examination is uncomfortable. It is also holy work.

Because the God who searches us is not asking us to hide what He reveals. He invites us to bring it into the light and allow Him to change us — to make us more humble, more teachable, and better able to love others well.

If He is surfacing something in you right now, don’t look away from it. Bring it to Him. Let Him do what He does.

“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Somewhere along the way, a lot of us were taught that the right thing to say is “I don’t see color.”

We understand the intent behind it. But it isn’t what a child of color needs from the people raising them.

Your child will see color. The world will see theirs. Pretending otherwise doesn’t protect them — it can leave them navigating experiences you haven’t prepared yourself to understand.

So we hope you do see it. We hope you see race as part of who your child is — not something to minimize, ignore, or pretend doesn’t matter. And we hope you want to be taught by people who understand what you don’t.

That posture — humble, curious, willing to be corrected — will serve your child more than good intentions ever could.

The “J” family is TRAVELING! 🚙

And this is one of those moments that reminds us just how sacred this journey can be.

What an incredible invitation.

From the moment they were matched, this family has been so grateful for the opportunity to get to know her, build a relationship with her, and walk alongside her through this season.

Every family we work with reaches a point where they have to answer a question about race.

Some of them get nervous. Some assume the answer for themselves before they’ve really examined it. Many say no for reasons that, when we talk them through, reveal there may be more underneath the answer.

We want to help you think about it honestly.
