📦✨ May was a month full of meaningful transitions for the Go2Crew team.

We had the privilege of helping clients move into new chapters of life—from a recent graduate relocating to Texas, to a senior transitioning into assisted living, to a widow preparing for a cross-country move to be closer to family. We also assisted young professionals, student athletes, and longtime friends settling into new homes.

Every move carries its own mix of emotions—excitement, uncertainty, joy, reflection, and hope. We are honored to walk alongside our clients as they take those next steps.

One of the most rewarding parts of our work is helping clients thoughtfully rehome belongings they no longer need. In May, with our clients’ permission, we donated and re-homed items to several local organizations, including:

• Chapel Hill Public Library
• Compassionate Family Resource Center
• Durham Rescue Mission Thrift Stores
• Extraordinary Thrift Store
• First Baptist Church Hillsborough
• Habitat ReStore - Durham/Chapel Hill
• Lifting Loft Clothing Ministry
• The Green Chair Project
• The Scrap Exchange
• TROSA Thrift Store

Today the team helped move my childhood friends Charlotte and (Eric White) across town (now they are only 4 mins from me!) While the guys worked hard loading and unloading the truck, I gave myself a “refresher” in hula-hooping!

Just met with a new Go2Crew client and her sweet kitty. They’ve both suffered a great deal of loss recently. 💔As we help prepare them for a move out west, kitty asked that we don’t forget him. 🫶🏻 we love our clients, their family AND their “fur family members.”

The Go2Crew loves the stunning plants that are out this time of year! Although it feels a little early, it’s time to get those potted plants planted and out on your porches and window boxes! If you need some help - let us know!

The Go2Crew helped friend who had recently purged her closet! Holly D. had 7 or 8 BIG bags of gently used clothing she could no longer wear-she’s a few sizes smaller than when she wore these items-so she asked if we could help pass them along to others in need. Today we gave the bags to a representative from a local church who said she would get them to a partner church in Hillsborough who hosts a monthly open house for clothing distribution. 💕 This is a perfect example of a WIN-WIN for all. Thank you Holly and Candy!

Several weeks ago a friend reached out asking me if the Go2Girls team knew anyone who might want/enjoy the special doll house (& furniture) her daughters’s had outgrown. After a few calls/texts, a contact at a local church told me she had a mom who, along with her daughters, were flooded out of their home over the summer.

On Christmas morning two little girls will wake up to find their “new” doll house the one which had been loved by the other little girls. 🩷

I am grateful for the opportunity my team and I have to work with clients as they navigate their life changes including packing/purging, downsizing, and moving.

In this special “move-in” situation, we were delighted to help relocate this beloved doll house to a home where two little girls who lost all of their belongings will receive this special gift. Hopefully this kind gesture will help the girls and their momma find some joy this holiday season. 🎄

Helping those in need, is what the holidays are all about. 💕
