A Message to Our Community

It is with deep regret and a very heavy heart that we share that Corner Connection will no longer be able to host events as planned. Due to ongoing and significant operational challenges within the building, we have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our doors following our final event on May 31.

We want to begin by saying how truly sorry we are. We know how much time, care, and anticipation goes into planning your events, and we deeply regret the inconvenience and added stress this may cause. Please know this decision was not made lightly—we did everything in our power to find a path forward so we could continue to serve you and our community.

Over time, we have faced continued building-related issues, including persistent HVAC failures that have led to extremely high utility costs (in excess of $4,000 in some months), concerns surrounding a fire suppression system that has not been consistently serviced or recertified, and multiple leaks impacting both the roof and interior of the space. These conditions have made it increasingly difficult to operate at the level of safety, comfort, and quality that you deserve.

When we learned the building would be brought to market this spring, we truly believed there was a path to staying. We submitted what we felt was a fair, market-supported offer based on the condition of the property and the repairs required. The building, however, was positioned at a significantly higher value that did not align with those realities.

In a hopeful turn, we were later approached by a purchasing group who intended to acquire the building and retain us as a tenant. This gave us renewed optimism, especially knowing their reputation as strong stewards of our downtown and historic spaces. After multiple licensed inspections and detailed evaluations of the repairs needed, negotiations continued with favorable terms presented—but unfortunately, we were recently notified that their offer did not prevail.

At that point, we made the decision to act quickly so that our clients would have as much time as possible to make alternative arrangements, and so that we could communicate with honesty and care moving forward.

To our booked clients:
We have been emailing all clients with existing reservations. If you have not seen those emails, please reach out to us immediately so we can assist you and process your refund as quickly as possible.

As you can imagine, we are currently working around the clock to notify clients, coordinate next steps, and manage the many moving pieces involved in closing our business and relocating our business members. While we are not ignoring calls, we are often on the phone or in meetings throughout the day. Email and text will receive the quickest response, simply due to the volume and timing of this transition during one of our busiest seasons. We truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Here is what you can expect from us:

- A full refund of your deposit, processed promptly
- Our full support in assisting you however we can during this transition
- Continued availability for any questions, documentation, or guidance you may need

For more intimate gatherings, The Spotlight on Main—our boutique venue located just one block away—will remain open and may be an option for events of fewer than 40 guests. We would be happy to explore that with you.

This is one of the most difficult messages we have ever had to share. We built this space to celebrate life’s most meaningful moments alongside you, and it is heartbreaking to step away sooner than we ever intended.

Thank you for trusting us, for choosing us, and for allowing us to be a small part of your event planning journey. Please don’t hesitate to reach out—we are here for you and will do everything we can to help ease this transition.

With our sincerest apologies and deepest gratitude,

Mara B.

WOW, we have been missing you over here in Social Media Land. But we have been packed full of events and smiles, with not enough hours in the day. A big thank you to our clients who keep us running... but, now the time has come for a special announcement...

Time for a NEW moon bounce lol :) We need to retire our tried-and-true version, which has served us tons of fun at children's birthdays, baby showers, and even weddings! So, we thought this upgrade was perfect when we saw it!! A 2-in-1 where you can have an entire experience, or disconnect for age groups, play level, etc.

So, don't delay, get those Spring and Summer celebrations on our books! Graduations, Birthdays, Family Reunions, and more are just around the corner...

We always appreciate a safety first approach to events and scheduling, and we work with our clients to support their decisions. For our Rotary Club of Charles Town, we will see them next Wednesday, for our regularly scheduled program. But, for tomorrow, stay warm and safe as many around still work to clear the snow and brave the cold!
