In Elizabethton, Tennessee, making connections includes the four-legged kind, too. 🐾💛

We love finding new ways to be part of this community, and our latest partnership with Downtown Elizabethton definitely gets two paws up!

Brightspeed is supporting Downtown Elizabethton’s pet-friendly program by providing dog water bowls to 38 participating businesses, so pups can grab a drink while their humans shop, dine and explore downtown.

We also joined the fun at this year’s Barktoberfest, sponsoring a Memories Matter photo booth where attendees could capture a keepsake with their favorite companion. 📸🐶

Here’s to a downtown that welcomes everyone — people and pups alike.

Rural internet has changed. Unfortunately, some of the assumptions about it haven’t.

For years, living in a rural community often meant making compromises when it came to connectivity. But as fiber networks expand into more small towns and rural areas, some of the old assumptions about rural internet just don’t hold up anymore.

More Pennsylvania communities are getting closer to the connectivity they deserve.

Brightspeed has been awarded $41.7 million in federal BEAD funding to help extend our fiber network to more than 9,000 additional homes and businesses across Pennsylvania.

The funding is part of more than $448 million in BEAD awards recently announced by the Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority to expand high-speed internet access across 50 counties.

For us, the impact goes well beyond the numbers. It means more students able to learn from home. More small businesses able to compete and grow. More families able to access healthcare, job opportunities and essential services online.

And it builds on the work already underway as we continue expanding our fiber network across Pennsylvania.

This is what closing the digital divide looks like: community by community, connection by connection.

We’re ready to ride, Arkansas! 🚴‍♀️💛

For the second year, Brightspeed is powering the Arkansas High Country Race — an incredible endurance event that takes riders hundreds of miles through the communities and landscapes that make Arkansas so special.

And there’s something new to cheer for this year! Brightspeed is supporting the launch of Women to the Finish Line, an initiative encouraging more women to participate in ultra-endurance cycling. Women make up 20% of this year’s registered field — the most in race history! 🙌

Our own Lymari Munoz has been helping bring this partnership to life locally, and we can’t wait to see it all come together.

Good luck to every rider taking on the Arkansas High Country Race on October 3. We’ll be cheering you on!
