Who’s up for a round of disc golf, a walk on the trails, or some pondside fishing? 🌲🎣

Black Bear Park in Hoffman Estates is one of the area’s best multi-use spots - 18-hole disc golf course, full basketball court, fishing pond with a dock, outdoor fitness equipment, paved & unpaved trails, playground, and a shelter perfect for a family hangout. It’s wooded, free to play, and a local favorite for both casual outings and more technical disc golf rounds.

Whether you’re chasing birdies, walking the loop, or letting the kids burn energy, it’s a solid neighborhood gem! 🐻

📍 Hoffman Estates, IL Tag Hoffman Estates Park District if you’ve been lately and seen the Fall colors starting to pop! 🍁🍂

Thinking about *The Social Reckoning* and was struck by the through-line to Roger McNamee.

An early Facebook investor and mentor who later became one of its sharpest critics (and author of *Zucked*) he is an executive producer on Aaron Sorkin’s film. Bill Burr’s character is a fictionalized version inspired by him - the former ally who tried to push for change and was ignored.

What makes Roger especially interesting is his dual life: by day he fights entrenched power in tech; by night he leads Moonalice, the Bay Area band he formed after T Bone Burnett encouraged him to create something in the spirit of the San Francisco psychedelic era.

Worth watching the film with that real-world context in mind. The issues it raises haven’t gone away.

Also worth watching the live stream of today's Moonalice show at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, CA at 1pm PT on the band's website and YouTube channel.
