HIMSS just made a big step forward for AI in healthcare.

At , HIMSS announced the world’s first evidence-based AI Outcomes Framework, bringing together five leading health systems across Singapore, Korea and Taiwan to measure the real impact and value of AI in healthcare.

HIMSS members: We’re calling for your stories. Show the world what’s possible when digital health transformation moves from vision to real-world impact.

HIMSS is partnering with BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions on Connected for Care, a new global series showcasing the people, ideas and innovations transforming health and care.

We’re looking for bold stories that demonstrate what happens when digital transformation actually changes lives:

✔️ Prevention that changes the trajectory of care: How earlier, more personalized interventions are helping people stay healthier.
✔️ Systems that work as one: How connected ecosystems are breaking down silos and creating better experiences and outcomes.
✔️ AI people can trust: How transparent, accountable and human-centered technology is reshaping the future of care.

Selected stories will be developed as part of the series, bringing real-world examples of digital health transformation to audiences around the world.

Healthcare’s AI challenge is no longer whether to adopt it. It’s how to do it responsibly and at scale.

Opening HIMSS APAC in Singapore, HIMSS President and CEO Hal Wolf put the patient at the center of that equation: without trust, there is no sustainable path to AI adoption.

Across APAC, health systems are moving from pilots toward enterprise deployment, while grappling with governance, human oversight, clinical integration and measurable value.

The playbook is still being written.

HIMSS emphasizes the importance of continuity of care in creating a connected healthcare experience that patients expect. The natural next question is: How do you know where you stand today?

That's where the HIMSS Continuity of Care Maturity Model (CCMM) comes in.

CCMM helps healthcare organisations evaluate the maturity of information sharing and care coordination across the patient journey, providing a clear roadmap for improvement.

In the UK, the Government of Jersey used the model to identify strategic investment priorities across its health ecosystem, helping advance a more integrated and patient-centered approach. For healthcare leaders across Europe, measuring continuity of care is no longer a nice-to-have. It is a foundational step toward delivering the seamless, connected services that patients increasingly expect.

At , health systems will share how predictive intelligence is being delivered in practice, from recovery-trajectory forecasting and bed management to clinical AI that reduced delayed cardiac interventions by 90% and insights from 2.7 million patient visits a week.

Oita Oka Hospital will present on how predictive models are informing their recovery trajectories, discharge planning and bed management. Seoul National University Bundang Hospital will share measurable results from AI integrated into cardiac care, including an 86% reduction in echocardiography analysis time. And Dr. Darran Foo will examine what deployment at scale reveals about structured clinical data, enterprise adoption and the next generation of AI-enabled clinical workflows.

The focus is on evidence, scale and how these capabilities are being embedded into real clinical and operational workflows.

See how healthcare intelligence is being put into practice at HIMSS26 APAC, 23–25 August in Singapore.

Advance registration ends 22 August. bit.ly/4gaff5u
