Brazilโs colocation market is growing and the requirements for new capacity are changing with it.
The market is expected to grow from USD 1.16 billion in 2025 to USD 2.13 billion by 2031, a 10.66% CAGR.
Brazil already has around 84 operational data centers, with Sรฃo Paulo accounting for more than 51 existing and 26 upcoming facilities.
The next phase is being shaped by AI workloads, higher rack densities, and rising power and cooling requirements. This is increasing the relevance of liquid cooling and other high-density solutions, while renewable energy and efficiency remain important considerations for operators.
Recent deployments illustrate the shift. Elea Data Centers is adopting liquid-cooling infrastructure for AI applications, while Petrobrasโ Tatu supercomputer uses 224 NVIDIA GPUs.
The implication for developers and operators is straightforward: future capacity will need to deliver more computing power within tighter power and cooling constraints.
