Buena Vista Ranch is officially rezoned in the City of Surprise!

Proud to share that the Surprise City Council has approved the rezoning for Buena Vista Ranch, a 422-acre mixed-use community is planned to include a variety of housing types, employment uses, parks, open space, a future K-8 school site, and an interconnected trail system with regional connections.

RVi led the land planning and zoning entitlement work in collaboration with GilbertBlilie (attorney), Wood Patel (civil engineering) and United Civil Group (traffic engineering). Great teamwork getting this one across the finish line for Buena Vista Holdings, LLC!

Excited to see this community take shape.

We’re thrilled to announce that the Golden Triangle Regional Park Master Plan in Tavares, Florida received unanimous 5-0 approval from Tavares City Council for plan adoption and to move forward into implementation phases!

Shaped by community input and designed by RVi, the plan creates one connected regional park system across two complementary campuses—an East Campus focused on social programming, nature, and wellness, and a West Campus centered on organized sports and active recreation.

We’re excited to see this community-driven vision take its next step and look forward to what’s ahead for Golden Triangle Regional Park!

Last week, members of RVi’s Naperville team toured the newly opened EMG Children's Garden. https://bit.ly/4mYRIYc.

It was special to experience this project firsthand, and while the team admired the custom-designed Luckey Climber (pictured), they wisely left the actual climbing to the children. The garden is a beautiful example of design that sparks curiosity and teaches the next generation about nature and stewardship. Inspiring stuff!

We’re proud of the work our team contributed to this special project and grateful to the Garfield Park Conservatory Alliance and Chicago Park District for helping bring this meaningful space to life.

That’s a wrap at the Florida Recreation and Park Association, Inc. Annual Conference!

Our team had a great time in Orlando connecting with so many colleagues, catching up with familiar faces, and talking about the parks and recreation spaces that help Florida communities thrive.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth to share ideas and stories with Alex, Hannah, Meredith, and Dominic. We’re already looking forward to the next time we can connect!

In our latest Employee Spotlight, Bryan shares how he found his way to landscape architecture, why he believes “experience-based design” may be a better way to think about healing environments, and what keeps him passionate after more than two decades in the profession.
