Knowledge Is King by Big Ken G. Lattimore is more than a story—it is a powerful blueprint for turning pain into purpose and struggle into strength.

Born into hardship and raised by life’s toughest lessons, Big Ken refused to allow his environment to determine his destiny. His journey reminds us that true wealth begins in the mind long before it appears in a bank account.

Whether you come from the projects, the suburbs, or somewhere in between, this book offers wisdom that can inspire every generation. Purchase it for yourself, give it as a meaningful gift, or use it as a learning tool for young people, families, classrooms, mentoring programs, and community groups.

The streets taught him survival. Knowledge taught him power.

Get wisdom. Change your life. Change your legacy. Take a look at Knowledge Is King—you may find the lesson that changes your future.

This is powerful! We must unite as a community, stand for equality and peace, and speak up for the life and future we want. Get involved, connect with people who understand the vision, and work together to create meaningful change—while remembering that no one is perfect. I’m here to help.

I may not have the connections to bring national attention to this, but some of you do. Our brothers and sisters are being treated unjustly—and we must ask why.

Please share this widely. Help it go viral, reach national audiences, and get the attention of news outlets. The country needs to know what is happening in Arkansas. Silence allows injustice to continue—use your voice and help demand accountability.

SUPPORT THE LEGACY—NOT JUST THE NAME.

Harold’s Chicken was founded by a Black entrepreneur, Harold Pierce, who built a respected brand while serving communities that were too often overlooked. That history matters.

Whatever family or business changes may have occurred since his death, I’m disappointed when I see establishments benefiting from the recognition associated with Harold’s while presenting branding that appears disconnected from the man and legacy that made the name valuable in the first place.

Consumers need to pay attention. Just because a restaurant uses a familiar name, number, logo, recipe style, or history doesn’t necessarily mean you’re supporting the original family legacy you think you are supporting.

If we expect major corporations to respect trademarks, ownership, intellectual property, and a founder’s legacy, we should expect the same from neighborhood businesses.

And changing the image associated with Harold? That especially bothers me. Harold Pierce was a Black man. His story is part of Chicago’s Black business history, and that history shouldn’t be erased, diluted, or rewritten simply because people recognize and trust the name.

Before you spend your money, know who and what you are supporting. If necessary, drive a little farther to support businesses that respect ownership, legacy, and the communities that helped build the brand.

Our dollars are votes. Spend them where the history—and the people who created it—are respected.

Protect the legacy. Respect ownership. Know where your money goes.
