A remarkable piece of Civil War history: this U.S. Pattern 1858 Mounted Artillery Jacket, complete with sergeant’s chevrons and removable brass epaulets, is crafted in indigo-dyed wool and bears contractor markings from Isaac Haber & Co., New York, dated November 1864. A rare surviving example from a contract of 15,000 jackets, it reflects the craftsmanship and detail of the era.
