Haley & Jack || 12.13.25

My 2025 wedding season came to a close with Haley & Jack’s romantic snowy Christmas wedding in Pittsburgh— a day that felt nothing short of providential. As just one of many examples, Haley had been praying for snow, and God answered her prayer with the most spectacular snowfall just as we were exiting the church! From start to finish, the joy of the day was undeniable; Haley and Jack are two of the most joyful people, and I don’t think Haley stopped smiling once as you will be able to quickly see in the photos!

Yesterday was perfect in every way. Maria + Benj are two of the sweetest, most joyful, God-loving, talented, and intentional people you’ll ever meet.

From their first look & Nuptial Mass in their stunning church to our creative indoor photo locations (thank you frigid temperatures pushing us inside) to dancing in the snow at the end of the night, it was all amazing and I’ll have many more photos to share soon!

Proof that you don’t need a lot of different locations to get a wide variety of wedding portraits - even when freezing snow condenses portrait time down to about 15-20min. 😍

One the (many) things I love about photographing a Catholic wedding is that during the hour or so of their ceremony, the focus shifts from the couple to Christ and my focus as a photographer shifts to worship.

How can I worship Christ through the moments I’m capturing during this Mass?

How can I capture a tiny part of the great mystery we’re being invited into?

It’s these questions that lead me to pause and try and photograph not just the bride and groom during their ceremony, but also the church itself, the guests, and of course, the priests and servers. ❤️

So here are just a few of my (many) favorite black and white photographs from Nuptial Masses that don’t actually feature the bride and groom but (hopefully) invite us all deeper into the paschal mystery and the beauty and gift of our Catholic faith.

It’s no secret that I’m personally a big fan of winter but quite understandingly, I hear people express fear over winter engagement sessions because everything is dead and cold this time of year.

Well let this series of images prove my point once again that you can have beautiful photos ANY time of year and winter is nothing to be afraid of. You just have to choose the right locations and outfits and Jennifer and Ross did both so well. ❤️

My 2026 wedding season started with one of the rainiest weddings I’ve ever photographed, but nothing could overshadow the joy God had written into this day.

Maria and I’s friendship goes back to our college days at Franciscan University (I heard we’re sharing our 2016 highlights and in 2016 Maria and I both studied abroad in Austria together!). I first met Tom at a wedding I photographed in 2024 (and that couple were guests this past weekend and it was so fun to see them again!). Maria and Tom were newly dating at that 2024 wedding but I remember thinking then that they seemed to have that connection the makes you know two people are made for each other. ❤️

There’s so much more to share but for now, I’ll leave you with this little preview into my first wedding of the year!

Happy New Years Eve! I’ve been seeing everyone jumping on the 2025 Wrapped bandwagon and it’s such a fun trend that I couldn’t help but make my own!

In many ways this was a simpler year than previous ones. Less exotic “fun” travels, less weddings, less miles on the road (yes 15,480 miles is less than previous years 😂🤪).

And yet it was in the simpler, slower pace that life felt more alive and full. I had more time for family, for reading, for taking walks and for prayer.

Here’s hoping I can lean into the slower pace even more in 2026!

(This 2025 wrapped post was a fun excuse to give you all a little preview of my new branding which is still in the works and will finally be launched in the coming months!)
