May is officially in the books!
Our household finished the month with $350 left in the budget and no categories over budget.
What makes me especially grateful is that we also faced a $3,664 auto repair bill and a $1,100 home improvement project during the month. Because we had an emergency fund and a dedicated project fund, neither expense created financial stress.
June is an important checkpoint. We're almost halfway through the year, making it a great time to:
✔️ Calculate your net worth
✔️ Check your savings progress
✔️ Measure debt reduction
✔️ Review your financial goals
If you're not where you want to be yet, don't quit. Refocus.
Nobody can change your financial life except you. Once you have the right mindset, behaviors, and systems in place, consistent effort can produce amazing results.
What's one financial goal you're focusing on during the second half of 2026?
Remember, financial progress doesn't happen by accident. It happens when you combine the right mindset with the right tools. If you're looking for a few resources to help you build momentum, visit: https://gametimebudgeting.com/resources
