🌊 RIPLEY’S NEW RIVERFRONT IS ALMOST READY! 🌊

The finishing touches are underway, and these wonderful new spaces will be opening to the public soon.

From places to gather and relax to paths along the river, this project is creating something special for our Village and everyone who comes to visit. We can’t wait to see families, neighbors, and visitors enjoying it and making memories.

We’ll share more details as opening day gets closer. Ripley’s riverfront is almost ready to welcome you!

New Richmond’s Liberty Landing — A Vision Becoming Reality

These drone views tell the story better than words can. New Richmond’s Liberty Landing is coming together, reconnecting this historic Ohio River community with the river that has shaped it for generations.

The project grew out of the Village’s 2023 Liberty Landing Master Plan, with a vision for a revitalized Front Street, new public gathering spaces, improved river access, ADA accessibility and a new public marina.

Along the way, the project has had to adapt to challenging riverfront soils, permitting requirements, engineering realities and a fixed construction budget—while preserving the Village’s highest priorities.

In May 2024, Governor Mike DeWine announced $13,472,404 for Liberty Landing through Ohio’s Appalachian Community Grant Program and the Wonderful Waterfronts Initiative. Governor DeWine came to New Richmond on August 11, 2025, to help break ground and celebrate what he described as one of the transformational riverfront investments being made in Ohio’s Appalachian communities.

That investment is now becoming very real: a transformed Front Street, a riverfront overlook and gathering space, new seating and outdoor dining opportunities, improved pedestrian access and, ultimately, a new public marina connecting downtown New Richmond directly to the Ohio River.

Projects like this do not happen because of one person or one organization. Thank you to Governor DeWine and the State of Ohio, the Ohio General Assembly, the Village of New Richmond and its elected and administrative leadership, ILCAO, Clermont County, KZF Design, Burgess & Niple, Prus Construction, the many contractors and tradespeople, businesses and residents who have endured construction, and everyone who has helped move this vision forward.

There is still work to finish, but these images show just how far New Richmond has come.

NGOgro is honored to have been part of the Liberty Landing journey and especially proud to work alongside a community willing to think big about its future.

This is what transformational investment in Ohio’s river communities can look like.

New Richmond is preserving its past while building its future—right on the banks of the Ohio River.

Higginsport’s transformation is nearly complete. 🌿🚤

This short video shows how far Slim Sallee Memorial Park has come — from a vision on paper to a beautiful new riverfront destination for the community.

🌊 Freedom Landing is coming together—and we’re just one month from the finish line!

It’s exciting to see the riverfront take shape. The shelter and bandstand are standing, new sidewalks and paving are in, and landscaping is underway. Every week brings another big change to this special place along the Ohio River.

A huge thank-you to the crews and everyone who has worked so hard to bring this vision to life. Exciting times for Ripley! 🚧🌿🙌

✨ The Riviera is ready for its next chapter!

Many of you have been talking about this historic building and asking what’s ahead. Mr. Ingram owns The Riviera, and it is now under contract for construction.
