💙 Help CASA meet the unique needs of children we serve 💙

In 2022, Harrison County CASA began providing space for supervised visits for families involved in the child welfare system. What started with just 29 visits has grown into a vital service that helps children and families maintain safe, meaningful connections.

In November 2024, we opened our Family Center, creating an even more welcoming, child-friendly space for supervised visits and family engagement. The continued growth in services demonstrates the increasing need for safe, supportive environments where families can connect and work toward reunification.

As the number of visits continues to grow, so does the need for supplies, activities, comfort items, and resources that help make our Family Center a positive experience for children and families.

This month marked 4 incredible years of having Dawn on our staff, although she was already part of our team prior as a volunteer advocate. Dawn has worn multiple hats at our office, but she’s worn each with remarkable strength and determination. Thank you, Dawn for your commitment to children and families!

What a treat it was to get the opportunity to visit the Wolfe Osbourn Place and hear from Katie about the wonderful opportunities they provide to women and children in recovery.

Partnerships like these help us best serve children and families through referrals and linkage to supports.

Also a big shout out to our volunteer advocates who commit their time to learning about these resources to best assist families. They are everyday superheroes! 🦸

⏰We’re in the final stretch! Our Annual Campaign ends May 31st, and we are just $131,950 away from meeting the needs requested by our Partner Agencies.

These agencies are on the front lines every single day, feeding families, supporting children, providing shelter, offering crisis services, empowering seniors, and strengthening our community in ways big and small. Their work changes lives, and they’re counting on all of us.
