Many advisors assume keeping marketing costs low is the safest decision.
Michael Riley discovered that sometimes the opposite is true.
The less expensive option could hold about 24 people. The country club could accommodate 50 or more and create an experience that felt different from what other advisors were offering.
He chose the larger venue.
This wasn’t about paying more simply to appear impressive. It was about looking at capacity, audience experience, and whether the investment supported the kind of advisory practice he wanted to create.
Sometimes the lowest-cost option is not the one that creates the most opportunity.
