Two years ago today, we opened the doors to the Legacy Transfers storefront. 🥹
And because apparently I like making big decisions around anniversaries, today feels like the right day to finally share what’s next. ☺️
I’m incredibly grateful for what these last two years in this space have been. Opening a storefront was something I wanted to experience and build, and I’m proud that I did it. But part of running a business is also knowing when it’s time to pivot instead of holding onto something simply because you worked hard to build it. 🙏🏾
That being said, I’ve made the decision to close our storefront and transition Legacy Transfers back to being fully online.
Now let me make this CLEAR:
Legacy Transfers is NOT closing. We’re NOT going out of business. We’re NOT disappearing.
The reality is that 90% of our sales happen through our website, and over time, the storefront has naturally become more of a pickup location than a place where people come in to shop.
So instead of continuing with a model that doesn’t really match the way our business operates anymore, I’ve decided it’s best to put our time, energy, and resources into what DOES work. 😤
Our last day operating out of the storefront will be Friday, September 25th.
Before I get into what that means for local pickup, I have to take a second to say THANK YOU to our local customers and the Cleveland community. 🫶🏾
Whether you’ve walked through our doors to shop, picked up an order, told somebody about us, shared a post, or simply supported what we’ve built here, I’m incredibly grateful. Y’all gave this storefront life, and I’ll never take that support for granted.
Now, for everybody wondering what this means for local pickup, don’t worry. I got y’all. 😎
I KNOW there’s been some mixed feelings about our 4–8 PM pickup hours. I heard you! 😅
I already have a custom pickup locker in production that will be placed locally here in Cleveland! 🙌🏾
Once we transition, you won’t have to rush after work, rearrange your evening, or try to make it across town before we close. When your order is ready, you’ll be able to pick it up on YOUR time. 👏🏾
So yes, the storefront is closing, but Legacy Transfers is very much still here. And in a lot of ways, this change is going to make ordering and picking up locally even easier.
Same business. Same website. Same products. Same level of excellence. Just a whole lot more convenient for you AND me. 🤝
Between now and September 25th, nothing changes. We’re still open, orders are still being fulfilled, and pickup will continue at the storefront as usual.
I’m proud of what we built here, I’m grateful for this chapter, and I’m excited about where we’re headed next.
So here’s to two years, and whatever I decide to get us into next. 🥂
