The Industrial Sewing Program equips participants with the skills needed to launch a career in the sewn products industry, a field deeply rooted in the region’s history and currently seeing renewed growth. Sewing technicians are in strong demand, with wages typically starting around $15 per hour and experienced professionals earning $20 to $30 per hour or more. Because many manufacturers prefer candidates with hands-on experience using industrial sewing equipment, this workshop provides an excellent opportunity to gain foundational skills and connect with local employers.
