It's become a favorite part of our elementary school field trips at Starker Forests - Silently laying down on the trail for a few minutes, listening to birds such as Wilson's warbler and the pacific wren, and watching the 200-foot-tall Douglas-fir trees sway in the breeze. Thank you to all the teachers, parent chaperones, bus drivers and students who have joined us this spring to learn about Oregon's forests.

Taking what they learned from Cafferata Consultants and putting it into practice, DTL Logging creates a bio-den from leftover woody material to provide habitats for a wide range of species, including invertebrates, small mammals, birds, amphibians and reptiles. This is a vital ecosystem resource easily provided for our smaller forest inhabitants.
