Equine Athlete Massage

Equine Athlete Massage Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapy (CESMT), Craniosacral Therapy & Acupressure Horses are made up of 60% muscle and muscles are the engine to the body.

Without proper functioning muscles, horses are not able to perform at their optimal level and they are proned to injury. Equine Sport Massage releases knots and increases blood flow/oxygen, so your horse can move freely without tension or pain. Adequate blood flow is important to heal, repair and restore muscles. My Equine Massage technique also has great relaxation benefits to improve the overall

well-being of your horse. Certified Equine Sport Massage Therapist

I’m honored to help this lovely guy feel his best in his terrific new home in MD! Although we just met, he trusted me like we’ve been working together for many years. Long distance moves can cause stress, anxiety and tension for horses, which can become chronic issues and/or injuries if left unattended. We topped off the session with an Equine Kinesiology taping on his coronary bands to increase the circulation in his feet and help him release tension all over his body and legs. https://www.equineathletemassage.com/

This sensitive OTTB prefers gentle massage/body work. Some people may get board watching this video, but there’s a lot happening if you’re interested in learning how horses communicate. Watch his eyes, ears and demeanor, which are very relaxed and a sign he’s deeply rooted in his parasympathetic nervous system, where horses and humans rest, digest and heal. When he’s tossing his head while I’m rubbing his face, he’s leaning in for more and towel is helpful to increase the surface area! Horses carry tension in their head, so don’t forget to give them a gentle rub with a towel before and after your ride!
