My hand hurts.
Not from typing. From writing.
I’m a tech consultant. I live on my iPhone. I talk to text. I haven’t held a pen long enough to feel it in years.
But last weekend at in Lake Lure, I met people worth the hand cramp.
So I went old school. Stamps. Stickers. Handwritten notes.
Because some connections deserve more than a LinkedIn “great to meet you!” notification.

6 days. Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. Choo choo. 🚂
People think triathlon is swim, bike, run. It’s not. It’s an entire operating system you build around swim, bike, run.
Body maintenance is scheduled, not optional. Yoga. Acupuncture. PT. Massage. These aren’t treats — they’re maintenance windows. Skip them and the whole system crashes.
Nutrition is automated. Protein powder on auto-delivery. Electrolytes always stocked. Bike bottles prepped the night before. Race nutrition planned down to the mile.
Recovery has a protocol. Hydration starts before you’re thirsty. Sunblock is a non-negotiable system step, not an afterthought. Chapstick lives in every bag, every pocket, every compartment — because a cracked lip at mile 40 on the bike is a solvable problem I already solved.
The dogs get walked on a route designed to tire them out without wrecking me.
The car stays tuned. The wetsuit gets hung after every lake swim. The sneakers get monitored for wear. Wednesdays smell like chlorine and that’s just the cost of doing business — keep your distance.
Showers upon showers. But always showers.
This is not hustle culture. This is what it looks like when chaos doesn’t get a vote.
Same philosophy runs my business.
