Mechanized Resources- VMWest owns extensive heavy equipment resources including chippers, mulchers (masticators) from 83 to 365 horsepower, tracked and rubber-tired feller bunchers, skidder, processor, self loading log truck, roller chopper and lowboy transports. Forest Product Utilization- VMWest has the ability to harvest and remove logs and other forest products from projects, which utilizes renewable resources and supports local industry. The removal of biomass from the forest will promote natural forest regeneration. Minimize chip depth left on the forest floor which will promote the growth of desirable species and encourage wildlife habitat.
