Visionary New Site Launch: Iowa Land Records

We're proud to share that Iowa Land Records (ILR), the statewide system connecting all 99 Iowa counties, has launched a newly redesigned public website. We partnered with ILR on a full site audit and new site design, and this one's been a favorite project for our team from day one.

The new site opens with a clean hero section, "Search. Submit. Succeed.", and simpler navigation throughout, so visitors can find what they need without digging.

The redesign includes:
• A new, ADA-compliant public website
• A new Recorder Hub
• An interactive Iowa County Recorder directory
• An interactive Iowa County Recorder map
• Simpler, more intuitive navigation
• Mobile-friendly design
• A new landing page for requesting an account
• Easier access to training and support resources

As the ILR team shared: "Over the years, users have shared ideas about making information easier to find and improving access to training and support." That feedback, from Iowa County Recorders, everyday users, and a dedicated Focus Group, shaped every decision in this redesign.

Since 1992, we've partnered with organizations across Iowa to build websites that are easier to use and easier to maintain. We're grateful ILR trusted us with a platform this many people depend on.

🎪Visionary's State Fair Week is officially a wrap! 🎪

Butter cows were carved, bingo cards were blacked out, and East Side fashion was on full display. Our Social Sponsorship Committee brought the fairgrounds straight to the office this year, corn dogs, cheese curds, and all!

Excited to share highlights from our Quarterly All-Team Meeting! 🎉

Our team came together for a morning of collaboration, learning, and connection. Highlights included:
🔹 Welcome & Introduction: a warm kickoff from our President, Bryan
🔹 Project Demos: a look at the great work we've accomplished this past quarter, including our new PWA launching soon (Sarah, Luke & Dakota), an email notification center built for a client (Andrew & Chris), and dashboard updates for a client from our data analyst, Nick
🔹 DISC Assessment: a team activity focused on understanding our different working and communication styles, so we can collaborate even more effectively together
🔹 President's Message: Bryan, sharing insight into our company's direction and priorities
🔹 Recognition and shoutouts celebrating the great work happening across our teams

We wrapped up the day with lunch together as a team, a great reminder of the culture and people that make this company special.

Grateful for a team that shows up, collaborates, and celebrates wins together. Looking forward to what's next! 🙌

🍕📰🏆 They're on the cover AND they just won?!

Huge congrats to our Visionary website client Leaning Tower of Pizza, featured on the cover of Ankeny Living AND named this year's Best Pizza Establishment in the Ankeny/Northern Polk County Residents' Choice Awards! Talk about a double win. 🙌 🙌

Leaning Tower has been serving the Des Moines and Ankeny area for over 50 years. It started in Des Moines in the 1960s, moved to Ankeny in the '70s, and has been run by the Harrington family since 2001. Everything's made in-house, right down to pizzas baked the old-fashioned way in a stone deck oven. Seeing a local institution like this get the recognition they've earned is exactly why we love what we do.

Congrats to our wonderful client Kevin Harrington and the whole Leaning Tower team on this well-deserved win! 🍕🏆

🌺 Meet Holly F. Murphy, Front End Engineer at Visionary, and this year's VTO all star! 🌺

Holly spent 16 hours of her Volunteer Time Off (plus many more on her own time) helping run the 9th Annual Hold Our Youth Tight Triathlon Fundraiser in Winterset, Iowa. From designing signage to stocking coolers to running the kids' piñata station, she did it all to help honor two lives and support Madison County's youth and families.

19 teams. Hundreds of community members. One incredible cause. 💛

At Visionary, we’re proud to support FedEx through data solutions and multi-system support that help keep complex operations running smoothly behind the scenes.

And sometimes, that work connects to moments like this…

Walnut the harbor seal has officially arrived at Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines! 🎉

In collaboration with the LA Zoo, SeaWorld San Diego, and FedEx, Walnut made his journey across the country, landing safely in the 515 and settling into his new home at Hub Harbor.

While he’s stealing the spotlight, we’re just excited to support the systems and data that help make coordinated moments like this possible across teams and partners.

Big thanks to FedEx for the partnership and to Blank Park Zoo for bringing a little extra magic to our Des Moines community.

There's something special about bringing your team together outside the office.

Last night, we did just that at the Iowa Cubs game. Perfect weather. Great food. And even better company, including the family members who made the evening complete.

While the Buffalo Bisons took home the win (by quite a margin 😅), we were the real winners in those skyboxes.

At Visionary, we know that the strongest teams are built on genuine relationships, shared experiences, and a culture where people feel valued, not just as employees, but as whole people with families and lives outside of work.

That's what last night was all about. Getting to know the people behind your coworkers. Strengthening those relationships. And building our Visionary community together.

The East Village is about to VIBE ✨

Visionary is proudly located in the Historic East Village and we have a clear vision of what makes summer in our neighborhood amazing. We're thrilled to support Vibes in the Village!

Saturday, June 20 | 12–5 PM
Block party on East 5th Street + patio party on East 4th at Northern Vessel.

Live music from Luke Fox, cold drinks, good food, and real community vibes.

Then in July and August they're back at Simon Estes Amphitheater for the first time in seven years with free live music from Andrew Hoyt, local food, riverside drinks, and all-day neighborhood specials.
