Extreme heat has amplified the need for properly insulated metal buildings. Metal roof temps reaching 120-140 degrees , 60 degree AC above the plenum creating a dew point that makes it all sweat. We added open cell to the roof deck and gables. Sealed the attic space from outdoor air. AC will be updated to condition the space above the plenum and not only make the building much more comfortable but save a ton of energy.

It’s much cheaper to do it right when you build a metal building and add HVAC than after like we did here.
