There’s nothing quite like getting out from behind the desk and connecting with the people who make our industry so great! A few of us from the Poretta & Orr Meetings & Events team had a fantastic time at an event hosted by Teneo at the beautiful Stone House at Stirling Ridge in Warren, NJ.

We had the opportunity to reconnect with longtime industry friends and meet new partners from hotels and resorts across the country and Caribbean, DMCs, AV companies, and corporate gifting providers. We also enjoyed connecting with fellow Meetings & Events planners and sharing ideas, experiences, and a few laughs along the way.

And of course, there was plenty of great food, including a fun, hands-on charcuterie-making class!

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to strengthen partnerships, expand our network, and keep learning from the incredible people in our industry.

Thanks to the Teneo team for bringing everyone together for such a great evening. Looking forward to putting these new connections to work for our clients.

Poretta & Orr is on site at The National Sports Collectors Convention at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

We're proud to support Professional Sports Authenticator - PSA, the industry leader in sports and hobby card grading, with two large-scale exhibits measuring 110' x 75' and 50' x 50'. Teamwork helped deliver a flawless installation.

Projects of this scale are the result of outstanding collaboration, craftsmanship, and commitment. Thank you to everyone whose hard work helped bring this project to life.

Today was our mid-year meeting, but it was so much more than that.

For those not traveling, we took time to remember someone who meant so much to P&O while also reflecting on our 40-year journey as a company.

To say today was special is an understatement. Our tribute reel wasn't just a look back. It was a celebration of the leadership, friendships, loyalty, and shared success that have shaped P&O over the past 40 years.

As we celebrate this milestone, we're also looking ahead with excitement. Our history is something to be proud of, but it's the future we're building together that inspires us most.

Here's to the next chapter. Happy 40th Anniversary, P&O!

Meet Leila.

Curious by nature, Leila enjoys learning both in and out of the workplace. Whether she's hiking a new trail, discovering new music, or exploring photography, she's always looking for her next adventure. She's also proud to have learned three languages and hopes to one day become fluent in five.

If she could choose one superpower, she'd have a hard time deciding between telekinesis to control the TV remote or the ability to park perfectly every time. Either would definitely come in handy.

One of the things Leila enjoys most about her role at Poretta & Orr is the opportunity to take on independent research projects that contribute to the team's success. She also discovered her passion for planning and organization after creating an inventory tracking tool that helped streamline a process for her colleagues. Seeing something she developed make a real impact confirmed her interest in events and project management.

One piece of professional advice has stayed with her: "Advocate for yourself. You can't expect anyone else to do it better." It's a lesson she'll continue to carry with her throughout her career.

We're grateful Leila chose to spend her summer with Poretta & Orr and appreciate the curiosity, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective she brings to our team.

Meet Kennedy.

When she's not at work, you'll most likely find Kennedy outdoors. Whether she's hiking, working out, or spending time with friends and family, she enjoys staying active and making the most of every day.

One of her proudest accomplishments was studying abroad. Living in a different country challenged her to navigate unfamiliar surroundings and gave her an experience she'll never forget.

If she could have one superpower? Teleportation. Being able to instantly travel anywhere would make exploring new places and visiting family and friends a whole lot easier.

At Poretta & Orr, Kennedy enjoys learning how the different parts of our company come together to support our clients. She also enjoys helping her teammates with research, especially when a busy schedule means an extra set of hands can make all the difference.

One of her favorite experiences so far was attending her first show in Baltimore, where she had the opportunity to see the Alkermes SLEEP exhibit come together from installation to completion. Seeing everything behind the scenes gave her a firsthand look at the planning, teamwork, and craftsmanship that goes into bringing an exhibit to life.

We're happy to have Kennedy on the Poretta & Orr team this summer and look forward to seeing all she accomplishes in the future.
