Back in 2018, this photo stopped me mid scroll. I was sitting on the other side of the world in Bali feeling pulled toward this group of women in a way I couldn’t explain.

My friend had no idea that the way she talked about joining this group would have such a profound effect on me.

When I got home, I joined. Within my first week as a member, I held a workshop, landed two new clients, and booked a speaking gig.

Ownership of The Collective was never even on my radar.

That’s the thing about following nudges. They usually lead you to places and experiences that are better than anything you could have imagined on your own.

With deliberate thought and conscious choice behind it. The opposite of default. The opposite of accident.

Most of you are building businesses the way the internet told you to. New strategy every quarter. Rebrand when it’s not working. Post more. Niche down. Niche wider. Throw spaghetti at the wall and call it a plan. Pivot. Repeat. Wheels spinning, plans changing, everything shifting — and somehow still wondering why nothing is sticking.

Here’s what gets me about that definition. The shift doesn’t start with a better strategy or a bigger offer or a new system.

It starts with a decision.
Made on purpose.
With deliberate thought behind it.

That’s what The Collective has always been about. Not just a place to work. A place to choose — who you’re becoming, how you’re leading, what you’re building and why.

Ten years of watching women walk through this door and leave differently has shown me one thing over and over. When you stop reacting and start deciding, everything changes.

That’s leadership. And it starts within.
