Hello again! I see some new faces, and I realize that I haven’t posted since the summer. I’m slowly getting back into my groove! I’m currently fully booked until January of 2024, but will resume taking orders after the first of the year.

I appreciate each and every single one of you for your business and support as I’ve navigated working outside of our home, assisting my aging mother, and recuperating from shoulder surgery. What a year! I wish all of you a blessed holiday season, and I can’t wait to see what creations I’ll be making in the future.

Hi again, remember me?🎂

I’m three months post op from shoulder reconstruction surgery and I’m SLOWLY easing back into the kitchen. I will begin taking a few orders starting in July…please note that I’m doing cakes and cupcakes only as my arm will allow. I’ll do my best to accommodate. Here’s a few of my creations that I’ve done. The strawberry cake for my mama and mother in law was the first cake I’d made since January…I was able to do it two months post op. I’m so grateful!

Hope y’all have a great day! It’s nice to be back.🤍

I had shoulder surgery today. My ortho surgeon was able to repair two of my torn rotator cuff tendons, remove bone spurs, repair the labrum and actually was also able to fully repair my biceps tendon. (And some other things, I have only read my OR notes once.) We previously thought that tendon was completely torn and unable to be attached, but he was successful in that repair also. So far the nerve block is working for the other repairs, but not the biceps tendon since anesthesia didn’t think we were doing that today. Pain is manageable for now.

Obviously I won’t be in the kitchen and baking anytime soon. My physical therapy will begin once my sling comes off, and recovery (especially for my biceps tendon) will likely take months. I just wanted to do an update since I haven’t posted in a while. I’ll let you know when I tie my apron and turn the oven back on!🎂🤍

Wedding set up yesterday at Coley Hall in Elkin, NC. I absolutely loved the bride’s vision of succulents, gold and greenery. I was really happy with how this turned out. Congratulations to the sweet couple!

(Please note that I am not accepting new orders at this time. Thanks!)

Since I have had a lot of people trying to place orders with me lately, I wanted to make a post about what’s going on as it relates to my baking/decorating.

I’ve been struggling with a shoulder issue since I fell last August. I finally went to an ortho specialist and I have a bone fragment and a rotator cuff issue that will need to be addressed at some point. He did a steroid injection last week and that has helped some, but I’m afraid it’s just a temporary fix and not a sure cure.

With that being said, I have decided to take a step back from being in the kitchen. A lot of the repetitive motions that I do while baking and decorating is really doing a number on my shoulder…and honestly it’s wearing me out. It constantly reminds me that I’m almost 50…not 25😅

✨If you already have placed an order with me, don’t worry!✨I plan on fulfilling anything that is already on my calendar through the end of the year. Depending on how my shoulder heals, I may or may not pick up after the first of the year. It’s really contingent on how I’m feeling.

Just wanted to give you a heads up on why I’m laying low. As always, thanks for your business and support! I hope to be back in the kitchen soon.🤍

I haven’t posted since March! I’m forever behind on that. Here are some creations I’ve been working on.

Between working part-time with Yadkin Valley Pet Funeral Services, making cakes and also working 40+ hours with our special needs son through Life Alliance, I’m staying busy! I’m not doing quite as many cakes as before, but I’m still accommodating my beloved customers when I can.

With that being said, I’m not currently accepting new orders at this time, as I’m booked up until the end of September. I will open orders for the fall towards the end of the summer. Y’all stay safe, have fun in the sun and I’ll see ya soon!🥰🎂

Here’s a few of the things I’ve been working on since January. Thanks for looking!🥰

I just realized that I haven’t posted since the end of the year! Between starting a new part time job, working on cakes and juggling my roles as wife and mama…I totally lose track of time!

I am totally booked up right now but will open ordering for Easter weekend if time allows. If you would like to place an order for the summer, please let me know as soon as possible. I have very limited availability left for June and July.
