In honor of Memorial Day, our Pennsylvania and Missouri offices celebrated the traditional way with a BBQ 🍔🌭

It was great getting everyone together and taking time to enjoy the holiday as a team.

We also held a fun competition for our field teams and remote employees by covering lunch and asking everyone to show off their best BBQ plate. Gary Teel took home the win for best looking plate.

Make sure you check out that last picture… but fair warning, it might make you hungry 🍴

Today is about remembering the people who made the everyday moments we enjoy possible. Cookouts with family, golfing with friends, and the freedom to simply enjoy ordinary days. None of it feels ordinary when you stop and think about what it cost.

To the families who carry that loss every day, our hearts are with you.

To those who gave everything, thank you ❤️🤍💙

Your properties deserve a team that truly understands you.

At Caliber Service Management, you get one dedicated account team. They get to know your sites, your regions, your budget, and your goals. Building a program tailored to you.

Local field teams, regional procurement specialists, and trusted service partners all working together across every location, with your account team coordinating it all.

We spot pavement issues before they become costly repairs. We flag drainage problems before they become liabilities. We bring proactive recommendations built on real site knowledge and years of hands-on expertise.

The result? Smarter spend. Better-protected properties. A long-term strategy instead of a never-ending reaction cycle.

May feels like summer already, and it's only going to get hotter.

That actually works in your favor if you use the next few weeks well. This is the window to get ahead of things before the heat sets in and your options narrow.

Start with HVAC. Schedule maintenance now before every technician in your market is booked out. And keep landscaping and plant growth 2 to 3 feet from units so airflow stays clear.

Then walk your landscaping with the heat in mind. Turf and plants already showing stress won't hold up once temperatures climb. Check your irrigation, make any adjustments, and handle upgrades while there's still time to do it right.

Don't overlook mulch either. It holds moisture, keeps root systems cooler, and gives your landscaping a fighting chance through the hottest stretches.

The work you put in now is what keeps a property looking alive all summer long ☀️

Spent this past Monday on the course at the annual Pink Ball Tournament, surrounded by people coming together for something bigger than themselves in support of Helens Angels.

Breast cancer has impacted far too many people, including Helen Henderson. Days like this are a reminder of why it’s so important to keep showing up and supporting one another.

Until there’s a cure, we keep fighting.

Happy 🛠️

Facility management runs on people.

There is plenty of advance technology and big machinery in this industry, but at the end of the day it comes down to the people within it and the relationships we have with one another.

We're proud to stand alongside the facility managers who show up day in and day out to keep facilities safe and moving. Your work may not always be in the spotlight, but it is essential for every industry and every company to thrive.

We appreciate everything you do and are grateful to be part of the impact you make 🤝

To the moms in our industry, we know we’re only seeing part of it.

We see you on the job site, but not the 3am wakeups with a sick kid. We see you handle tough conversations at work, but not how hard the morning was just to get everyone out the door.

Yet you still show up fully every single day, no matter what the night before or morning looked like.

Happy Mother’s Day to each and every one of you. The strength you bring to this work is truly inspiring, and you deserve every bit of recognition for it ❤️

Excellence in facility maintenance is the direct result of people like Ernie Carlisle.

Based out of Delaware, Ernie has become a cornerstone for our Mid-Atlantic region. The relationships he’s built with our service partners go beyond the job. They’re real, and they hold because he consistently shows up and follows through for them. When something needs attention, chances are he’s already a step ahead.

Outside of work, he’s just as driven. Ernie races micro sprint cars and actually competes at a high level. This past year, he took home the 2025 Middleford Speedway 270cc Micro Sprint Champion title. He also loves playing the drums. When he’s not at the track or behind the kit, he’s usually spending time with his girlfriend and son, which is what matters most to him.

Ernie, the Mid-Atlantic is better because of you. Plain and simple. Appreciate all you do for our clients, partners, and Caliber.

Your site’s stormwater system is critical infrastructure. It is what allows your property to properly drain excess rainwater. Over time, it collects trash, twigs, sediment, and other debris.

That buildup slowly restricts flow while sediment gathers underground, creating problems that are easy to miss. Most systems work just fine until one heavy storm hits at the wrong time and turns a small issue into a major one.

Data centers, industrial buildings, and office campuses are especially at risk. Large roofs, wide parking lots, and heavy pavement leave water with only one place to go, through a system that may already be struggling. There could be an issue on your property right now, and the only thing missing is the storm that exposes it.

The math is simple. A routine inspection usually costs between $1,000 and $7,500 per site each year. An emergency flood event, with fines, cleanup, and business disruption, can easily exceed $35,000.

That is the difference between being proactive and reactive. One happens on a normal Tuesday. The other happens when everything is on the line.

Some trees on your property are working for you, while others are quietly creating risk.

When trees are placed with intention, they pay off over time. They can cut heating and cooling costs, shade HVAC units, block harsh winds, and keep pavement from holding heat. On a property that runs all day, that impact adds up.

When they are not, the same trees start working against you. Roots lift walkways and create ADA concerns. Canopies crowd rooftop units and restrict airflow. Limbs hang over parking lots and access points, turning the next storm into a potential claim.

Know which trees are helping and which are costing you. We can help you decide what stays, what goes, and what needs attention.
