What an incredible day at the Tanana Valley State Fair! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the Northern Star Pogo Mine booth to say hello and try your hand at gold panning.

A special thank you to Kinross Alaska for generously lending us their gold panning equipment.

We loved seeing so many budding prospectors of all ages roll up their sleeves, grab a pan, and discover their first flakes of gold. Take a look at some of the lucky prospectors who struck gold!

A new school year begins today, bringing fresh opportunities to learn, grow, and make lasting memories.

Northern Star Pogo Mine wishes students, teachers, school staff, parents, and bus drivers a successful first day back. Thank you for the important role you play in supporting our schools and strengthening the community.

“After 20 years, I’ve seen a lot and picked up information from my own experiences and from the people I’ve met throughout my career,.” says Aaron, Underground Miner at Northern Star’s Pogo Mine.

Born and raised in Montana, Aaron came to Pogo Mine expecting a short adventure in Alaska. Twenty years later, he's built a lasting career working across a variety of underground mining roles and now operates a long hole drill. But for Aaron, it's not just the work that has kept him at Pogo, it's the people.

"The people I work with make me proud to work at Pogo. They are just really good people with a lot of knowledge to share."

Two tournaments, one community and a big impact.

Northern Star Pogo Mine was proud to have recently participated in both the Breast Cancer Detection Center of Alaska Golf Tournament and the Alaska Resource Education Fairbanks Coal Classic, two incredible events that showcase the power of community coming together for meaningful causes.

Supporting organizations like BCDC and ARE is one of the many ways we invest in the health, education, and future of the communities where we live and work.

These tournaments weren't just great days on the course, they were opportunities to support lifesaving breast cancer detection services and educational programs that are inspiring Alaska's next generation of mining professionals.

On July 11th, we celebrated one of our most precious resources, people. 💛

At Northern Star Pogo Mine, our people are at the heart of our operations, and Family Fun Day is a much-loved tradition that gives team members an opportunity to share their work with the people who support them every day.

The special event welcomed loved ones to site for a firsthand look at life at Pogo Mine. It was a great reminder of the strong community that exists both at Pogo Mine and across Alaska.

A lot of fun was had, or should we say "Au" lot of fun was had! 😉 From getting up close to mining equipment, touring the mill and venturing underground, visitors had the chance to experience what makes Pogo such a unique operation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this year's Family Fun Day a fantastic celebration of the people and community that make Pogo Mine special.

💛 One of our favorite Fairbanks traditions is almost here, the Golden Days Parade! 💛

At Northern Star Pogo Mine, we value being part of the Fairbanks community and taking part in events like the Golden Days Parade that bring people together.

From finding the perfect spot along the parade route to waving at friends and celebrating everything that makes Fairbanks such an incredible place to live, it's a community tradition that many of us look forward to all year long.

Make sure to join the fun on Saturday, July 25th, at 10:00 am in downtown Fairbanks.
