Meet the Vice Chair of the QSC Advisory Council: Katie Byrd
For Katie Byrd, being part of QSC is about more than growing her own business. It’s an opportunity to help strengthen the industry and the people in it.
Katie is the CEO, Owner, and Master Plumber of Clarksburg Plumbing, LLC and brings 17 years of industry experience to the QSC community. A QSC member for six years, she has spent three years serving on the QSC Advisory Council, where she helps represent the needs and perspectives of contractors while working alongside other industry leaders to move QSC forward.
Her commitment to the trades extends even further. Katie also serves as PHCC Zone 2 Director, representing Maryland, Metro Washington, Virginia, and Delaware and helping bring regional concerns, challenges, and ideas to the national level.
Katie believes the future of the skilled trades is bright. As technology and AI continue to change the workforce, she sees an opportunity for skilled careers to receive even greater recognition, while contractors continue embracing technology without losing sight of quality, craftsmanship, and best practices.
And when she isn’t working or serving the industry? You might find Katie cooking, working out with her 16-year-old twins, spending time with her granddaughter Ellie Mae, or hunting for antique furniture and architectural pieces with a story.
