September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Jacob was just three years old when he was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. For nearly four years, he faced the disease with grace and strength far beyond his years.

Cancer never defined Jacob. He loved baseball, soccer and the simple joys of being a kid. After a period of remission, his leukemia returned, and on February 16, 1993—just weeks before his seventh birthday—he went home to the Lord.

Jacob’s courage and light continue to guide our family at MEGA. His story reminds us that behind every childhood cancer statistic is a child, a family and a life worth fighting for.
