$13.8 million.

A year ago, I don't think I fully understood what a number like that could represent.

Today, I do.

Over my first year in this career, I’ve helped families put $13.8 million worth of protection in place.

But life insurance isn't really about the number.

It's about the mortgage that can still be paid.

It's a child getting to stay in the home they know and the school district they're used to.

It's giving a spouse time to figure out what life looks like next without immediately having to figure out which bills get paid, what gets sold, or whether they can afford to stay.

It's protecting the plans a family was building together, even when life doesn't go according to plan.

That is the part of life insurance I wish more people understood.

Yes, there's paperwork. Yes, there are numbers. And yes, sometimes talking about the reason you need it can be uncomfortable.

But behind that piece of paper is a promise to the people you love.

One of my favorite parts of this career has become taking topics like this—things that can feel complicated, overwhelming, or easy to put off—and breaking them down in a way that actually makes sense for someone's life.

Not by telling people what they should have.

But by helping them understand what they already have, where there may be gaps, and what protecting their family's future could actually look like.

$13.8 million is a big number.

But the families behind it will always mean more to me than the number itself.

One year in, and I'm incredibly grateful for every person who has trusted me to be part of that conversation.
