When you're installing a fence, set your posts in concrete at least 2 feet deep. Any shallower and you're risking lean or wobble after a few freeze-thaw cycles or heavy wind.

Deeper posts mean the fence stays straight and solid for years, not seasons. Worth the extra bag of concrete and ten minutes per post.
