There is much more happening through The International SeaKeepers Society than most people realize.

In this conversation, Norma Trease, CEO of Int. SeaKeepers Society, shares two recent initiatives: tracking dolphins, whales, and other marine wildlife in Bahía Golfito, Costa Rica, and collecting heat-resilient coral in the Exumas to support future reef restoration efforts.

The coral is then taken to the Perry Institute for Marine Science, where it is cultivated before being returned to the reef.

Projects like these show how owners, crew, builders, and the wider yachting community can play a meaningful role in protecting the oceans we all enjoy.

There’s a lot that happens before a boat ever leaves the dock.
